The Vermillion County Sheriff’s Department received a gracious $2,000 donation from their local Lions Club this past Wednesday. According to WTHITV 10 in Terre Haute, Indiana, which featured the story, the money will fund the Sheriff’s Department automated external defibrillator (AED) program that will help save lives.
“I can’t say enough to thank the people, and thank the organizations and the efforts of many individuals who stepped forward and to make sure that these units were purchased,” Vermillion County Sheriff, Bob Spence said. In addition, the local hospital contributed to help train the department on how to use the AEDs.
