AACVPR - American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Access Point - A hardware device or a computer's software that acts as a communication hub for users of a wireless device to connect to a wired Local Area Network.
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
ADT - Data is coded into a series of pulses, including a start bit and a stop bit.
AED - Automated External Defibrillator
AFIB - Atrial Fibilation is the most common sustained rhythm distrubance encountered.
AHA - American Heart Association
AHA Database - The American Heart Association (AHA) developed a database of arrhythmias and normal electrocardiograms (ECG) contained in two series of meticulously-edited, beat-by-beat, annotated recordings.
Arrhythmia - An irregularity in the force or rhythm of the heartbeat.
Asystole - Absence of systole. Also, a conduction disorder which causes a stoppage of ventricular contractions resulting in no blood flow output.
