Cardiac Science wins AED contract in Latin America
Cardiac Science to deploy AEDs in Medellín, Colombia« Previous Release | Next Release »
Bothell, WA – May 10, 2011 – Cardiac Science Corporation, a global leader in automated external defibrillator (AED) and diagnostic cardiac monitoring devices, has been awarded a contract to deploy Powerheart® AEDs in the metropolitan area of Medellín, home to 3.5 million Colombians. These AEDs will be placed in Metro de Medellín transportation stations and buildings to protect commuters against sudden cardiac arrest.
Cardiac Science and a valued partner, Ingenieria Hospitalaria, worked together to win the Metro de Medellín contract. Established as one of the first modern mass transportation projects in Colombia, the Metro de Medellín now moves over 400,000 passengers each day through 34 different stations.
