Cardiac Science Signs Letter of Intent With Misys Healthcare Systems to Connect With Their EMR Systems

BOTHELL, Wash. -- Cardiac Science, a global leader in advanced cardiac diagnosis, resuscitation, rehabilitation, and informatics products, announced today that it signed a letter of intent to begin establishing Heartcentrix® ECG connectivity with the Misys MyWay™ electronic medical record (EMR) system from Misys Healthcare.

Misys Healthcare serves more than 100,000 physicians in 18,000 practice locations. The HeartCentrix solution from Cardiac Science helps bring patient history, clinical charting, e-prescribing, lab orders, results, and patient follow-up information together into a single EMR application. "We designed HeartCentrix to streamline diagnostic cardiology workflow," said Greg Newman, senior marketing manager for Cardiac Science. "Ultimately, the patient benefits. With streamlined integration, physicians have easier access to information, faster results, and fewer chances for operator error, patients receive a higher standard of care."
