The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 goes into effect on January 1, 2012. This law requires manufacturers and retailers doing business in California to disclose information regarding their efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking from their direct supply chains.

- Cardiac Science maintains polices including our Supplier/Business Partner Code of Conduct (“Code of Conduct”) that requires each of our suppliers to comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations including but not limited to all such laws, rules and regulations pertaining to slavery and human trafficking, for all materials incorporated into the products, as provided for in the California Transparency in Supply Chain Act of 2010, California Civil Code, Section 1714.43.
- Cardiac Science’s agreements with our suppliers and business partners require our suppliers and business partners to comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, and not engage in any illegal or deceptive trade practices or any other practices proscribed under United States law or the laws of their country of operation.
- Cardiac Science requires all our suppliers and business partners to certify their compliance with our Code of Conduct.
- Cardiac Science retains the right to audit all our suppliers and business partners for compliance with our Code of Conduct.
- Cardiac Science may take corrective action, including termination, against suppliers who fail to comply with our Code of Conduct.
- Cardiac Science employees responsible for supply chain management are familiar with our Code of Conduct and understand the importance of ensuring that our suppliers abide by our Code of Conduct.
