Quinton Q-Stress

Cardiac Stress Test, Treadmill System

The Quinton Q-Stress is the hospital industry's gold standard. Our cardiac stress test with treadmill system is the winner of multiple awards (most recently Frost & Sullivan's Market Engineering Award). Quinton Q-Stress is now in its ninth generation.

New! Microvolt T-Wave AlternansTM for Q-Stress combines the industry’s leading cardiac stress test system with Cambridge Heart’s unique Microvolt T-Wave Alternans (MTWA) testing system, creating the most comprehensive, reimbursable cardiac risk-profiling system in the industry (US only). The Analytic Spectral Method® (ASM) detects every-other-beat patterns unique to patients at increased risk by analyzing the ECG in the frequency or spectral domain. Data shows that using frequency is superior at filtering out noise and artifact than using timing alone.

The Q-Stress cardiac stress test with treadmill system is designed with you in mind. Its easy-to-learn left-to-right workflow and simple-to-understand icons and intuitive controls guide technicians through the stress test. Busy stress labs use QuikLists to enter comments quickly and efficiently.

Our proprietary algorithm, baseline wander, and motion artifact filters reduce noise and produce clean ECG tracings even at high speeds and steep grades. Perfect for pharmacological stress tests as well. Patients will appreciate getting the best test results the first time.

And Q-Stress is HL7 and DICOM compatible! Q-Stress has the flexibility to connect to your Healthcare IT systems in the way that works best for you to enhance your clinical workflow. Click here for the DICOM Conformance Statement.

OPTIONS:

Networking, Q-Exchange, Full Disclosure, Freeze Frame, Re-Analysis, Microvolt T-Wave Alternans

Networking - The Quinton Q-Stress connects with virtually everything you need for enhanced workflow and maximum disclosure reports, including your HIS/EMR, email, printer, network storage, nuclear camera, and echo system.

Q-Exchange – This option enables the import of patient demographics, billing and procedure codes into Q-Stress. Recent enhancements to Q-Exchange include bi-directional communication and an increased amount of data Q-Stress can send and receive.

Risk Scoring - Include a patient's risk score based on the Duke, Framingham, and Functional Aerobic Impairment (FAI) indices with our risk-scoring option. Automatic risk scores provide additional prognostic data to clinicians and are easily added to the final report.

Full Disclosure - With the full disclosure option, you can capture and review every beat for absolute clinical confidence. Save an entire test as a PDF and send it to your desktop, to your network, and to your EMR for storage and remote viewing.

Freeze Frame - The Freeze Frame option provides you an 'instant replay' of any waveform during the test. You can “freeze” any ten-second ECG strip and compare it with “live” ECG tracings. Q-Stress prints side-by-side comparison reports, too.

Re-Analysis - With re-analysis, technicians can review a complete test after the procedure has ended. The built-in analysis tools allow modification of the original iso-electric points, J points, and timing to adjust for new patient data or to compensate for physiological changes during the test. Individual and multiple leads can be reanalyzed using new iso-electric points for a “Holter-like” review.

Microvolt T-Wave Alternans (MTWA) - MTWA from Cambridge Heart allows you to assess your patients' risk for sudden cardiac arrest.

SunTech Tango+ - Specifically designed for use in treadmill, bicycle (ergometer), and pharmacological stress testing, the Tango+ reliably monitors blood pressure allowing you to focus on your patient. Add the SpO2 measurement option to make your stress ECG system a complete and seamless diagnostic test center. Available in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, Chinese, and Japanese.

FAQs & Troubleshooting Tips

Can we apply Microsoft updates to our Q-Stress / Treadmill system?

No, applying Microsoft updates to the Q-Stress operating system is not recommended. The Q-Stress comes with a certified image and we do not recommend any updates.

Can we install anti-virus software on our Q-Stress / Treadmill system?

Yes, you can install anti-virus software to protect your Q-Stress system. However, our recommendation is to bypass the complete Quinton folder located under c:\program files. It is also recommended to only run updates and scans during business off hours. Running scans or updates can effect the performance of the system and we require all system resources be dedicated to the Q-Stress application.

Does Remote Support cost anything?

This service is available free of charge for our warranty and service contract customers. Billable customers are charged the standard hourly service rate.

How do I set up Remote Support on my Cardiac Science equipment?

Several methods are available. Examples of the most popular are PC Anywhere, Real VNC (Virtual Network Computing) or WebEx Intercall. Contact Technical Support for more details.

How does Remote Support benefit me?

We have the availability of experts to assist you in real time, without having to send your unit in, or sending a field service engineer on site. We can assist you with installing software and service patches. We can help identify workflow issues, verifiy versions and software settings. We can view and send log files to our FTP site. This has proved to be a valuable tool in resolving issues quickly meaning increased uptime for your equipment.

I am getting an error message that reads, "Your database has reached 90%, if you do not complete a purge you will not be able to continue using the application when it reaches 95%". What does that mean?

The error message is requesting you clean up the database through the Q-Stress Purge and archive utility located within the Q-Stress application. click on Tools > Service > Database, a window should pop up indicating "Database Service", Select the tab that indicates "purge" then select one out of the three option available. After the task is completed reboot and the error message should no longer pop up.

Is Remote Support safe and secure?

Yes. Remote Support is safe and secure. Information is shared only between your computer, and the computer of the Technician working on your issue.

My THR (target heart rate) is not calculating correctly, what could be the cause?

It is possible you did not select your patient prior to running the study. You can verify this by looking at the top of your screen which should list the patients name and MRN. If there is only a date and time listed you did not select your patient prior to checking electrodes and selecting rest.

The ECG trace on the monitor is red, how can I change it back to the standard blue?

You will need to change the resolution settings within the display options. First, close any applications that are currently running. Then right click anywhere on the desktop and select "Properties"; left click on the "Settings" tab and use the drop down menu to change the "Color Quality" from "Highest (32 bit)" to "Medium (16bit)" then select "apply" and "ok".

What is Remote Support?

Remote Support is the ability for the Cardiac Science Technical Support Team to access your PC directly. We can connect to your PC remotely and control the actions temporarily. We can also help fix problems and review log files over a secure internet connection.
